Hiboy P7 Electric Mountain Bike for Adults 2024

I bought this bike for my 16 year old son and he is absolutely loving it. I find now he is outside everyday just learning and enjoying the new electric bike and I would absolutely recommend this bike to 1 million ppl I will be ordering again for my other son also who is interested in one.

Pros: Good looking bike. I get a lot of compliments riding it, people want to talk about it.
The provided saddle has a cut out, that was a nice surprise. Very comfortable. The headlight works well too.
The range is good. They advertise 100km with a 160lb rider. I'm about 240lbs and I get about 60km to a charge. That's about what I'd expect. The bike is not sluggish even with a heavier rider. So the power output is fine.
Even if it dies, the bike itself is easy enough to peddal that I dont get range anxiety.
It's not really meant for off road trail riding. I did put it through it's paces though and it held up fine. Not gonna push my luck though. It'll mostly be used for on road commuting.

Cons:
It could use more gears. When you use pedal assist 5 the motor pulls you along faster than the bike is geared to pedal. I see on YouTube videos that they used to offer a 9 speed system. I wonder if that would have been better than the 7 speed.
I've had it shut off when riding off a curb. I think maybe the battery lost contact for a second. It turned back on though.
I've had the speedometer stop registering twice now. Both times while riding it displayed 0 Km/h. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.
Battery charger gets warm while in use. I'm gonna keep an eye on this. My other ebike friends tell me this is normal though.

Overall I'm quite happy with the purchase. The value is definitely there at the $1100cad price point. I reccomed this bike to anyone that asks about it.

Easy to assemble, very powerful and the battery lasts long

I live in a 55+ community and wanted an option for making my way to the various fishing lakes in the neighborhood. For me, a golfcart was not an option due to expense and the fact its not very practical for using outside the community. Ive experienced fat tire bikes at ski resorts but without electric motors and decided a fat-tire is what I wanted. The P6 HiBoy had really good reviews and the price point was excellent! Assembly was easy and Im impressed with the bike speed (26 mph) and range without peddling. I added some fishing pole holders from Amazon and this bike is perfect for making my way to fishing lakes. It does take a bit of work to get on the bike with the fishing poles in place but good for stretching exercise. I highly recommend the bike and Im anxious to try it out on a variety of unpaved trails in the Ocala area.

Very easy to put together I like the price for the quality and delivery came early

Myself and my wife both use this P7 and love it! We put 80km on it so far and the bike seems to be solid and well built. Shipping was fast and installation was simple.

I’m very happy with the P7. It’s a pretty good commuter bike and it has good power for the money. The bike does get the range that is advertised and the bike has a solid feel. The weakest part of the bike is the front fork, which is very stiff and doesn’t work very well. But it’s hard to complain due to the price and the bike as a whole feels more expensive than it is.

Great range. Powerful motor. Reliable ride. I love my hiboy.
